Stu will be developing and managing new business relationships in correlation with Life Safety Services’ sales opportunities across the South Eastern United States. He will also lend his expertise in the field to further consult and educate facility managers, engineers and other fire protection professionals on the importance of passive fire protection.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (November 4, 2010) – Life Safety Services (LSS), an industry leader in Passive Fire Protection Inspection Services, was recently awarded the 34th position on Business First’s annual “Fast 50” list. This is Life Safety Services’ third consecutive year on the list.
Business First’s Fast 50 Program honors the 50 fastest-growing independent and privately held companies in the Greater Louisville area. The Fast 50 companies must privately held and have an average of at least $1 million in sales revenue for the past three years. The company must also be headquartered in Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer or Trimble counties in Kentucky, or Clark, Floyd, Harrison or Washington counties in Indiana.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 14, 2010) – Life Safety Services (LSS), the industry leader in Passive Fire Protection Inspection Services, is pleased to announce a new member of their management team, Mr. Jorge Martinez. Jorge will join the company’s operation department as the Service Manager to aide in the continued growth of the business.
“Jorge’s operations and management experience will ultimately allow Life Safety Services to have a more productive, more cohesive inspection team, “said Jack Meredith, Vice President of Production for Life Safety Services. “His ability to juggle the day-to-day operations of a growing business coupled with his excellent managerial skills will allows us to take our already dynamic operations team to the next level. In the new Service Manager position, Jorge will be responsible for overseeing the technicians that travel to different areas of the United States, Canada and the U.K. performing fire and smoke damper inspections, fire door inspections and firestop survey and installation services as part of a building’s overall Life Safety plan. “The entrepreneurial atmosphere and the new opportunities make LSS a great company to join for a challenging future. I’m really looking forward to using my experience to help LSS continue to offer service excellence to their clients”, said Jorge.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (September 28, 2010) – Life Safety Services (LSS), the industry leader in Passive Fire Protection Inspection Services, is proud to announce that Andrew Harris, a Fire Door Inspection Technician for the company, recently passed the Door and Hardware Institute’s prestigious Fire Door Assembly Inspection Program (FDAI) exam. Upon completion of the FDAI program, fire door professionals are thoroughly trained to evaluate door assemblies.
“Having a technician such as Andrew who has door industry knowledge is a huge asset for our company. This not only helps LSS establish great credibility as our role as leader in passive fire protection inspection services, but it also allows Andrew the ability to advance his career in the field and fine tune his expertise in the industry ,“ said Garry Cronin, Vice President of Operations for Life Safety Services. “ The FDAI Program is not an easy course and not just anyone can pass the exams”, said Cronin. “It takes someone with strong experience in the door and hardware industry and a strong passion to succeed to make it through the course. We are very proud of Andrew for this accomplishment”.
The Door and Hardware Institute (DHI)’s FDAI Program provides students with the door, frame and hardware training that are needed in order to perform accurate and thorough fire door inspections. The program typically takes about a week of in-class training with an emphasis on the code that requires the annual inspection of fire doors, NFPA 80. DHI has partnered with Intertek / Warnock Hersey to offer an additional certification as part of this program, Andrew Harris will be completing in the near future. “I’m very happy that I can lend my knowledge of the door industry to Life Safety Services. I’m excited about being able to directly contribute to their mission of ensuring compliance with NFPA’s Life Safety Code”, said Harris.
