FIRE DAMPER AND FIRE STOP FLAPS INSPECTIONS
As the industry leader in the inspection of fire and smoke damper inspections LSS Life Safety Services®, LLC offers a complete Fire and Smoke Damper Survey and Inspection Services for the entire Canadian Market. The fire and smoke damper survey will help identify all of the dampers in your facility and the inspection will help ensure compliance with The National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) Codes 80, 105, and NFPA 101 (in the provinces that have adopted 101), as well as the National Building Code Section 3.1.8 and the National Fire Code 2.2.2.
FIRE AND SMOKE DAMPER REPAIR SERVICES
After the survey and inspection of your facility’s fire and smoke dampers there often are dampers that did not pass inspection and are inoperable. This is why LSS Life Safety Services®, LLC offers fire and smoke damper repair services. The repairs services include but are not limited to replacement of damper actuators, repairing fire dampers with bent tracks, and the installation of fire dampers and smoke dampers. After the repair work is performed LSS Life Safety Services®, LLC will re-inspect the dampers to ensure compliance with the Canadian NBC and NFC, which state that “if closures become damaged they shall be replaced”
FIRE AND SMOKE DOOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Along with fire and smoke dampers another equally important component of a building’s passive fire protection system are the fire and smoke doors. LSS Life Safety Services®, LLC offers complete Fire and Smoke Door Survey and Inspection Services to the entire Canadian Market, provided as a standalone service or as part of a combined packaged with our fire and smoke damper inspections offering our clients additional value. LSS Life Safety Services®’ detailed fire door inspection services reviews over 80 points of the fire door assembly, reviewing components such as the frame, door, door bolts, exit hardware, hinges/pivots, and more. The inspection will provide our Canadian clients with compliance with NFPA 80, the National Fire Code’s section 2.2.2. and the National Building Code’s 3.1.8. LSS Life Safety Services®, LLC will also provide repair services to fix items such as fixing improper gaps, holes in the door, and other frequently found items that lead to fire door non-compliance.
